iLearnBalancing - Computer-based, Precision Field Balancing Training

iLearnBalancing

NEW - iLearnBalancing Interactive field balancing training

iLearnBalancing provides you with in-depth understanding of why balancing is so important as part of a condition monitoring and plant reliability program. It will help you understand how unbalance creates high forces that rob rolling element bearings of their full lifetime. You will understand the different types of unbalance, including static, couple and dynamic unbalance and what you need to do to correct them. It will also show you ways to ensure that you are not chasing the wrong solution; how to make sure that the machine is out of balance and it's not another fault condition with similar symptoms. Yes, there are many instruments that will walk you through a balance job as you acquire data, but they assume you know the nuances of balancing. With a deeper understanding of balancing, you won't waste time on machines that don't need to be balanced, the job will go more smoothly and you will be able to deal with any problems that come up during the balancing process.
Our 3D animations and simulators will make it more interesting to learn precision balancing and the course is fully narrated; you don't need to read it and it's easier to understand. We also include a number of interactive simulators so you can see the interaction between unbalance, rotational speed and phase, and work with vectors. The course uses both imperial and metric equations and measurement data. We cover multiple balancing methods, including single plane vector and program, two-plane program, overhung machines using single and two plane methods, static/couple, and four run, no-phase balancing. We also explain tolerances so that you know that the balance quality you achieve is good.

FLIR Systems launches new FLIR i-Series

More rugged and improved image quality for the same affordable price.

i-series
FLIR Systems wants to bring the advantages of thermal imaging cameras to as many users as possible. Therefore it is continuously introducing new and improved products to the market, at the best possible price. Today, FLIR Systems is launching improved versions of its successful FLIR i-Series thermal imaging cameras.
Industrial Version
The FLIR i-Series thermal imaging cameras are widely used for electrical and mechanical inspections. Electrical installations tend to heat before they fail. By detecting potential problem areas with a thermal imaging camera like the FLIR i-Series, installations can be inspected and breakdowns avoided. When going undetected these problems can even cause fire.
Building Version
The FLIR i-Series thermal imaging cameras are widely used for building inspections. Energy losses,
wet areas, mold build-up, leaks in roofs, underlying constructions, problems with HVAC installations,
it can all be seamlessly detected with the help of a thermal imaging camera.
Affordable price
FLIR i-series offer
Although all FLIR i-Series have been drastically improved, FLIR Systems is still marketing them at the same affordable prices as before. The entry model, FLIR i3, is available for only £ 895 (ex. VAT). Price is not an issue anymore to put the power of thermal imaging to work. The FLIR i3 is affordable for every electrician or building inspector.
Extremely rugged
Withstanding a 2 meter drop The new FLIR i-Series are meeting the requests of our demanding customers. The new FLIR i3, i5 and i7 are extremely rugged cameras. The thermal imaging cameras withstand a two meter drop. Users no longer have to be afraid of damaging their camera while working in harsh working environments. Dust and watersplashproof, the FLIR i-Series are IP43 rated.
Improved image quality
The FLIR i3 comes with the same image quality as before. It produces thermal images of 60x60 pixels. The image quality of the FLIR i5 and FLIR i7 has been improved. The FLIR i5 has a thermal image quality of 100 x 100 pixels. This is an image quality improvement of 56% in comparison with the former FLIR i5. The thermal image quality of the FLIR i7 is 140 x 140 pixels. This is an increase in resolution of 36%. More pixels allow the user to see more detail and to detect more thermal anomalies.
Outstanding ease-of-use
The FLIR i-Series are extremely easy-to-use. They have been especially designed for entry-level users. The fixed focus free lens makes using the new FLIR i3/i5/i7 a snap. The cameras produce thermal images in JPEG format that are stored on a removable SD card or on the camera’s internal memory. All temperature data are stored automatically together with the thermal image. Depending on the model, the camera comes with analysis tools like spotmeters, areas and isotherms.
FLIR Tools included
Every FLIR i-Series thermal imaging camera comes with FLIR Tools software.
FLIR Tools allows to import thermal images directly from the FLIR i-Series to a PC for basic reporting
and analysis of your findings.
Main features of FLIR Tools are:
• Import images from the thermal imaging camera to a PC
• Lay out, move and resize measurement tools on any thermal image
• Create PDF imagesheets of specific images
• Add headers, footers, and logos to reports
• Apply filters when searching for images
Users that need more reporting functionalities can choose FLIR Reporter software which is also
compatible with the new FLIR i-Series.
About thermal imaging
Thermal imaging is the use of cameras constructed with specialty sensors that "see" thermal energy
emitted from an object. Thermal, or infrared energy, is light that is not visible to the human eye
because its wavelength is too long to be detected. It's the part of the electromagnetic spectrum
that we perceive as heat. Infrared allows us to see what our eyes can not. Thermal imaging cameras
produce images of invisible infrared or "heat" radiation. Based on temperature differences between
objects, thermal imaging produces a clear image. It is an excellent tool for predictive maintenance,
building inspections, research & development and automation applications. It can see in total darkness,
in the darkest of nights, through fog, in the far distance, through smoke. It is also used for security and
surveillance, maritime, automotive, firefighting and many other applications.

FLIR relaunches the new E30 and E30bx

e-series-front
Visual camera integrated and extended temperature range

After the successful introduction of the FLIR E-Series in 2011, FLIR Systems is now launching an improved model of the FLIR E-Series entry model: FLIR E30 and E30bx.
Visual camera incorporated
The new FLIR E30 is now equipped with a visual camera. A visual image is often used as a reference against the thermal image. It clearly shows the people that need to do the actual repair where the problem is exactly located. The visual camera produces 2 Megapixel images. By pressing only one button the camera stores the thermal image and the visual image simultaneously. A LED-lamp installed on the front of the camera assures that good quality visual images can also be taken in darker environments. Just like all FLIR E-Series, the FLIR E30/E30bx is equipped with a laser pointer that will help the user to associate the hot spot on the thermal image with the real physical target in the field.
e-series
Extended temperature range
The FLIR E30/E30bx is equipped with a state-of-the-art uncooled Vanadium Oxide microbolometer detector that produces clear thermal images of 160 x 120 pixels. Temperature differences as small as 0.1˚C become clearly visible on a crisp thermal image.
The new FLIR E30 can measure temperatures between -20˚C and +350˚C.
The new FLIR E30bx can measure temperatures between -20˚C and +120˚C.
Rugged and easy-to-use The FLIR E30/E30bx is rugged to face everyday use in the most harsh environments. The vital inner core is well protected (IP54 rated). Extremely easy-to-use, all buttons for controlling the FLIR E30/E30bx are right underneath your fingertips. The large 3.5" LCD touchscreen shows clear thermal images and allows access to all camera features.
FLIR Tools included
Every FLIR E-Series thermal imaging camera comes with FLIR Tools software. FLIR Tools allows to import thermal images directly from the FLIR E-Series to a PC and for basic reporting and analysis of your findings.
Main features of FLIR Tools are:
• Import images from the thermal imaging camera to a PC
• Lay out, move and resize measurement tools on any thermal image
• Create PDF imagesheets of specific images
• Add headers, footers, and logos to reports
• Apply filters when searching for images Users that need more reporting functionalities can choose for FLIR Reporter software which is also compatible with the new FLIR E-Series.
