Balancing / Imbalance Correction Service UK

IN-SITU IMBALANCE CORRECTION SERVICE

vbBalancer

Imbalance exists to some degree in all machines, and is characterised by vibration at a frequency of once per revolution. In the absence of high resolution analysis equipment, imbalance is usually first to get the blame for excessive once per revolution vibration. A state of imbalance occurs when the centre of mass of a rotating system does not coincide with the centre of rotation.
Imbalance can be caused by a number of things including incorrect assembly, material build-up, rotor sag, thermal growth and component loss.
Along with misalignment, unbalance causes more premature and catastrophic failures in rotating machinery than any other fault.
We are able to balance all sizes of fans in-situ in either single or dual planes without the need to remove them from their locations using our state of the art portable vibration data collectors with built-in balancing programs.
Benefits of balancing In-Situ.
  1. Pre Balance vibration checks can be carried out to pinpoint the issue before balancing commences.
  2. Can be carried out whilst adjacent machinery remains operable.
  3. No requirement to dismantle and reassemble equipment to enable balancing of machine components.
  4. Reduces downtime, labour and material costs.
  5. Can be planned into scheduled short time outages such as mould or process changes.
  6. Extends bearing and machine life.
  7. Reduces the possibility of catastrophic failures.
  8. Improves safety.
  9. Improves production quality.
Example Data from a Balancing Run
The vbBalancer / vb7 provide a post balance summary report.

A before and after vibration plot can also be included in any post balance reports.

Proviso Systems Ltd - Condition Monitoring Services

Condition Monitoring Services UK

Our multi-technology Condition Monitoring Services programmes may include some or all of the following methods, which then enables a comprehensive Maintenance Strategy and Schedule of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to be implemented:
vibration_analystAs a recognised leader in the field of condition monitoring service techniques, we utilise vibration analysis in a wide variety of rotating machinery applications. Potential problems such as imbalance, looseness, instability of mountings, gearbox and bearing deterioration, misalignment of couplings, and lubrication deficiency can all be easily detected. Early identification of these machine conditions reduces the chances of secondary component damage, improves reliability and therefore maintains efficiency.
Oil Lab
Our on-site fluid sampling and advanced lab analysis enable us to monitor oil condition and contamination in addition to identifying abnormal machine wear and debris levels. Lubrication programmes can then be introduced, which will improve machine life and help save you money.

Motor Thermal Image
Thermal imaging has proved to be a critical element of the condition monitoring process. We utilise the latest in thermal imaging technology to provide a highly accurate indicator of emerging problems.
Electrical surveys, are used to identify high resistance joints, overloading and localised heating.
Mechanical surveys help to uncover component deterioration, friction, misalignment and temperature dependant process disorders,
Building surveys show heat loss through inadequate insulation across the building envelope and assist in the location of leaks.

FLIR EXX Series Thermal Imaging Camera for Electrical & Mechanical Applications

FLIR EXX Series Thermal Imaging Camera for Electrical & Mechanical ApplicationsFLIR exxSeries

Advanced Thermal Imaging Cameras for Electrical & Mechanical Application
It takes the right tools to quickly identify potential points of failure in an electrical or manufacturing environment, especially since many of these components are impossible to reach. That's why the new FLIR Exx-Series of advanced thermal imaging cameras offer superior resolution, precise laser-assisted autofocusing, and the option of interchangeable lenses – so you can target any component, survey from top to bottom, and avoid costly shutdowns.

Advanced Thermal Imaging Cameras for Building Applications
The new FLIR Exx-Series cameras offer superior sensitivity and a true 42° field of view (FOV) in an easy-to-use, handheld platform. These cameras can detect the first signs of building deficiencies and water intrusion and then measure the damaged area – right on the screen. All this performance is delivered in a rugged, ergonomic camera designed for safe and easy one-handed operation.
